A 1942 Plymouth. A small box sitting on the back seat. Two careful nerds in short sleeves. That is all it took to deliver the core of the first atomic bomb. THE most top-secret project ever of the time. It was a USED car! I'm sure today they would blow several million on a dedicated transportation vehicle and millions more on facilities involving retina scanners and underground vaults and really really nice desks because you can't do this sort of work unless you have a really really nice desk, and giant video screens and a Gulfstreaam-V on hand.

Chrysler Corp provided more than a non descript used car.
Their Engineers played a big role too.
